Championship Highlights. The best of a great Hobie week in Cagliari, with slow days and very fast ones... (video by Patrik Pollak - SVK1 Sports productions)

DAY EIGHT. Another sunny day of October in Cagliari to close the Championship and declare the winners of the 2013 Open title. And then let's celebrate together, because it really was a great Hobie week. (video by Patrik Pollak - SVK1 Sports productions)

DAY SEVEN. The first start for Friday, with little N-NW air left from the previous days, was a real lottery: lucky choices for some skippers, no chances for others. A game of patience, with a few teams aiming high and many more just asking for a chance to race in normal conditions. (video by Patrik Pollak - SVK1 Sports productions)

DAY SIX. “Almost the perfect days”, said Detlef Mohr. “Maybe the wind was a bit too strong for us”. Uhm... what about all those other skippers that did not win 12 European titles, then? What should they say? But it really was a great Hobie day in Cagliari. Many enjoyed the five races today, and everybody enjoyed this sunny and warm late October in Sardinia that feels like summer. DAY FIVE. Mistral up to 28-30 knots pushed the Hobie Cat 16 Gold fleet back to shore, today in Cagliari. The first race of the 2013 Open European Championship was abandoned when the first teams were just in sight of the finish line. A big disappointment for the top teams that were enjoying the challenge and literally flying on the water. (video by Patrik Pollak - SVK1 Sports productions)

It was one of those days - no wind at all. Nine races were enough to assign the Youth title to Trine Bentzen and Nicolaj Bjornholt of Denmark. Then, during the Cut Party, the announcement came: no cut at all, Gold Fleet will have 71 boats. (video by Patrik Pollak - SVK1 Sports productions)

The Youths are fighting for the title, the Open fleet is showing what it can do, even before the top teams start racing. Light winds in Cagliari but that should change soon... (video by Patrik Pollak - SVK1 Sports productions)

DAY TWO. Light winds at the Hobie Cat 16 European Championships in Cagliari but two races were completed to assign the Masters' title and the EHCA Spinnaker Cup. (video by Patrik Pollak - SVK1 Sports productions)

DAY ONE. Arrivals, opening ceremony, first day of racing for Masters, Youth Spi and Open Spinnaker Cup. EHCA president Andy Dinsdale talks about the event in Cagliari. A great start for French team Martin Orion and Charlotte Hilliard. (video by Patrik Pollak - SVK1 Sports productions)
